If I were a Donut

If I were a doughnut
There’d be sprinkles all around
But not on me for I would be
The fanciest doughnut in town
I’d twist into a sticky mess
And be filled with pudding cream
The fritters and old fashioneds would all gasp!
The likes of me they’d never seen.
I’d leave a luscious powder
In the box of assorted Morning Treats
Ribbons of maple and chocolate icing
Swirling from my head down to my feet
A gooey goodness like none other
Best served with coffee at half past three
Now tell me, tell me if’n You were a doughnut,
Which doughnut would you be?
